This month, Engain directors will be visiting UNFCCC officials in Bonn, to discuss priorities for Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
In advance of November’s COP 22 conference in Morocco, the 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties, Engain will be on a fact-finding mission to meet UN officials for guidance on how the UNFCCC supports small island nations facing the effects of climate change.
Specifically, we’ll be focussing on the Caribbean islands, following our extensive experience over the past few years in the region. We’ll be asking the UN what role is expected of consultants and asking for guidance and introductions that they might be able to provide.
Following this visit and the outcome of COP 22, we’ll be contacting representatives from these SIDS, and will post an update as to our general recommendations here on our website.
