It’s a busy period for our ecology team - currently working on a seasonal flourish of new instructions and developments.
This month has seen us working with a number of homebuilders, energy providers, the NHS and owners of private estates, to enable the progression of project developments across the UK.
For Bellway Homes and Crest Nicholson, our team is undertaking comprehensive ecological assessments and surveys in West Sussex, to provide strategic advice and guidance for development design and planning consent.
We are also providing an ecological clerk of works services for the National Grid’s Nemo Link® interconnector project – a connection between Belgium and the UK’s electricity systems, via subsea cables. The project is designed to provide both nations with improved reliability and access to electricity, and sustainable generation.
Also in the energy arena, we’re working on surveys and European species licensing in Dorset, for SGN, which operates over 74,000km of gas mains and services, managing a network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England.
Managing property land assets and disposals also forms a core of our ecology team’s work; we’re currently working with the NHS, advising on future facility value and use in the London Borough of Wandsworth.
