Principal Ecologist
Sam has worked as an ecological consultant for over 7 years, working as part of an ecological and multi-disciplinary team. She has worked as project ecologist in a wide range of project types with different aims and objectives, providing advice to deliver the best possible ecological solution.
Sam is skilled in undertaking a wide range of assessments including preliminary ecological assessments (PEA), ecological impact assessments (EcIA), Ecology Chapters, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and BREEAM 2018 / HMQ. Further to this, she is experienced in baseline data collection including ‘Extended’ Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, UK Habs and all manner of protected species surveys. She holds a Natural England Class 1 Dormouse Licence and Bat Mitigation License.

- Residential: undertaking and managing ecological assessments (including BNG, PEA, EcIA and Ecology Chapters) and surveys of both green field and urban sites.
- Waste: undertaking and managing ecological assessments (including BNG, PEA, EcIA and Ecology Chapters) and for several types of waste operations.
- Commercial / mixed use: undertaking and managing ecological assessments (including BNG, PEA, EcIA and Ecology Chapters) and for large scale commercial and mixed-use developments.
- Infrastructure: experience working on road schemes, particularly complex Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
