Rebecca Cox

Assistant Ecologist

Rebecca joins our Biodiversity Team to work on Biodiversity Net Gain, Nutrient Neutrality, protected species surveys and analysis, and reporting including GIS mapping. She has a Masters in Environmental Consultancy and has joined our team in our Bristol area office as an Assistant Ecologist.

Rebecca has experience using QGIS to support a variety of reports, including her MSc Dissertation which is a desk-based study on the distribution of a data-deficient habitat which is on track to be published within a Scientific Journal. Throughout her studies she has experience in collecting and analysing data derived from desk-top studies and field surveys, and then communicating the results effectively both verbally and in the form of high-quality written reports.

Rebecca has also worked for the Environment Agency conducting freshwater fish population surveys and collecting water parameters in-line with the Bathing Water Directive and Water Framework Directive. Throughout her professional career she has undergone extensive health and safety training, allowing her to work efficiently and professionally while conducting field surveys.
