Principal Ecologist and Team Leader
Lizy has 8 years of ecological consultancy experience. She has a successful track record of project delivery as part of an ecological and multi-disciplinary team, and experience acting as technical and project lead.
Lizy has comprehensive experience with protected species constraints, holding survey licences for great crested newts, dormice and bats. She also has an in-depth knowledge of environmental and sustainability legislation, policies and processes. Lizy has experience writing and implementing project specific licenses, designing innovative survey approaches and tailoring project specific mitigation recommendations.
Lizy is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Bristol, studying ‘The impacts and implications of solar farms on British bat species’. This project involves visiting and collecting data from numerous solar farm sites across the south-west of England. The purpose of the project is to help guide future mitigation proposals for bats at solar farm sites.

- Infrastructure: extensive experience working on road and rail schemes, including identifying ecological constraints, mitigation design and delivering project management.
- Structures: provision of technical surveys, project management and the writing and implementation of protected species licences. Experience covering bridges and buildings.
- Residential: undertaking ecological appraisals of green field sites. Supporting private dwelling owners with ecological constraints associated with the planning process.
- Energy: experience with renewable and non-renewable energy developments, including wind farm, solar and decommissioning of coal power stations.
