Engain new starter – Ross

We are delighted to welcome Ross Upton who has joined the Engain team as a Placement Ecologist. Ross is currently studying BSc Biology at the University of Bristol and will be a part of the team until the end of September 2021.

Ross will gain experience in producing risk assessments and method statements for site work, data searches and analysis, field surveys including habitat and protected species surveys, and supporting report delivery for ecological appraisals, protected species reports and management reports.

Lizy Tinsley, Principal Ecologist & Team Leader of Engain, said: “We pride ourselves on supporting individuals who want to enter the professional ecology sector. By providing exposure to a range of desirable consultancy skills, Ross will gain a great understanding of sector expectations and professional awareness, which will support his advancement into employment.
