Engain continues to make waves in the energy field; this month our ecology and environmental teams are working on two major European power projects
In East Sussex, we are helping GE to extend its substations, to enhance network stability and boost operational reliability for the new National Grid Nemo Link®.
The UK-Belgium high voltage interconnection via subsea cables will improve the reliability, sustainable generation and access to electricity for both nations.
Our licenced ecologists are providing supervision and advice, under an ecological clerk of works and watching brief services, to enable GE’s compliance with protections for newt and reptile species and habitats while operations are underway.
Further afield, we have been awarded another environmental permit for a new Mediterranean LNG facility – a project we look forward to delivering this summer.
